It really is your choice. Three days of motionless sales kickoff chair-sitting or AI-driven content and customized active participation to fire up your team.

Here’s my blueprint for one active sales kickoff week.

Set aside a Monday - for a remote or virtual day.

Set aside two on-site days for your kickoff. Make it that same week’s Wednesday and Thursday.

Take a quick one hour to prep the experience for your kickoff. Leave the hotel planning and travel to the events team. If you don’t have an events team, congrats on your new promotion!

The week before your kickoff, use AI to crank out sales content for individuals, individual business units, teams, sessions, and partners.

Review, fact check, be original, and customize that content.

Use AI to brand that content, in the formats you want.

Use AI to customize your content for learning, and coaching for all attendees. We’re not all wired the same way. If you understand the people on your team, you’ll understand the best ways they’ll consume and put into practice your sales material. 

You can do it all in one business day. 

Unveil and share your content on that Monday.

Next, everybody is on-site for those two days.

But instead of everybody sitting around waiting and watching and running up the company bill for three days, your kickoff attendees are going to work at 0800 the first morning, using your AI-driven content they received on that Monday. Over the next two days, sales will be put through an aggressive array of competitive scenarios. Multichannel situations. Rigorous business development tests. Use your imagination.

Wrap at 1600 on Day Two.

Keep those routine on-site presentations strategically to a housekeeping minimum.

No 60-minute CEO or CMO speeches, followed by another, and yet another…
